Sustainability

Sustainability of the project is considered a vital requirement from the beginning. The center hopes to generate income by from the services provided to the community. The ICT education service will be the main source of income to the center. Money to maintain the sustainability of the project at the start will come from:
  • Fees from Educational Lessons to Community
  • Charges for internet usage
  • Photocopying services
  • Telephone Services
  • Fax Services
  • Computer peripheral sales, e.g., blank CDs, paper
  • Printing Services

These fees are a nominal amount and should provide enough to cover the cost of the internet connection and electricity.

In the future, and in order to develop the eVillage model and provide employment opportunities for the community, more money could be generated by:

  • Secretarial services
  • Web design services
  • Graphic Design services
